The Oakmont Carnegie Library offers many services to our patrons.
We have a collection that includes books, large print books, periodicals, music CDs, books on CD, cassette, and mp3, VHS videos, DVDs and Blu-Ray disks, local history and reference resources. We also provide free access to online databases, the Microsoft Office Suite and the internet, and serve as a wireless internet location.
In addition, the library has conference rooms that are available to the public,
and we offer diverse programming for all ages on a regular basis.

For access to electronic books, audio, and video, click here. This link will take you to the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh / ACLA Digital Media Catalog, where you can download free electronic content to your computer or media player.
The library’s membership in the Allegheny County Library Association (ACLA) and our association with the eiNetwork enables library card holders to borrow materials from all the libraries in the county from one location. All you need to access all of these resources is a free, valid library card from an Allegheny County library.
To register for a card, you must show proof of
identification and proof of your current address.
Children under 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign for them.
In the 1970s, director Elizabeth Carlin established a home delivery service which is still ongoing today. It is available to any Oakmont resident, regardless of age, who is unable to visit the library in person. This can be a regular weekly service or for a temporary, short term period of time. Please call the library at (412) 828 – 9532 and speak with Dixie Anderson if you are interested in this service.
