Library Staff

Beth Mellor

Beth has a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science and certification in Marketing and Leadership Development.  She loves cycling along the river trails, travel and discovering new authors.  Her pets Boris and Elvis test her patience and leadership skills.

Children’s Librarian

Karen is an Oakmont native whose ties to the community go back for generations.  She has fond childhood memories of attending story time at the Oakmont Carnegie Library.  Now the Children’s Librarian at OCL and living in Oakmont with her three children, Karen values the importance of libraries and their positive impact on the community.

Archives and Reference Librarian

Stephanie has a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor's Degree in Eastern Religious Studies from Hiram College, Ohio.  She loves history, nonfiction, and costume jewelry.


Katie has a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from Kent State University in Ohio and a Bachelor's Degree in German Language and European History from Allegheny College. Her favorite colors are indigo and goldenrod.
